The Pentel GraphGear 1000 drafting pencil features a 0.5 millimeter gray body with a finely chiseled metallic grip inlaid with soft latex-free pads for fingertip cushioning. It includes a click mechanism revealing an extra-long 4mm tip and a retractable tip activated by pressing the pocket clip with a heavy spring. The pencil uses Pentel Super Hi-Polymer HB lead, equivalent to a No. 2 wood-case pencil, which resists breaking, never needs sharpening, and is refillable along with the Z2-1 eraser.
