The dock board features an anti-skid diamond tread surface and beveled curbs for maximum safety, with a high-strength aluminum board that includes full-length welded aluminum curbs for extra rigidity and to help prevent operator run-off. The curb provides a full-length handgrip for ease and safety in handling, while a safety stop on the underside fits snugly between the truck and dock to prevent movement under load. It comes with an 11-degree angle by default unless another angle of operation is specified, and includes an 11" entry lip with a rounded nose to protect tires. The dock board meets OSHA requirements 1910.30(a) and is reversible when the truck is lower than dock level. Capacity is rated as the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for a single shift with equipment speeds up to 3 mph; for multi-shift operations, 3-wheeled forklifts, or trucks using paper roll clamps, 5000 lbs. should be added to the capacity. The width should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with the most popular width being 60"; usable width is 4" less than the overall width. Stackers, 3-wheeled forklifts, and other narrow aisle loaders are not recommended for use on this dock board, and refrigerated trucks require special dock boards.
