The Locking Vertical Plate Clamp safely lifts plate and sheet material in the vertical position, featuring a locking mechanism for optimum safety where the operator simply pulls a ring to allow easy material release. It has a forged steel head and gear with hardened steel serrated jaws for long life, and a durable powder coat finish. The clamp meets ASME B30.20 specifications and is designed for use with materials having a surface hardness up to 30 RC (300 HB). It is not intended for use on stainless steel or aluminum plates.
