The SC Preferred pallet rack beams are made from 16-gauge high-strength, one-piece tube-seamed steel and feature a 1-5/8" H step beam design that accommodates cross bars and decking. Each set includes two unslotted pallet rack beams compatible with teardrop-style uprights, providing secure connections to upright frames via 3-button studs on the connector plate ends. The beams have a shelf capacity of 5030 lb. per pair and incorporate full "C" type weld construction to ensure maximum durability under all conditions. When selecting a load beam length, it is recommended to add a minimum of 10" to two pallet widths or 14" to three pallet widths, with additional spacing required for pallets with excessive load overhang. The capacity ratings apply to static (non-seismic) conditions only, and verification of capacities must be performed by a seismic engineer if seismic conditions apply.
