Safety Signal utilizes the Universal Signal Protocol with red and green LED lights, offering a simple yet effective means of enhancing safety at loading dock doors. This system includes a microprocessor-based control panel, convergent photo eye, and LED light signals, ensuring reliability and productivity with no maintenance requirements. Optional interlocks for dock lights, fans, and levelers further automate the loading dock area, improving productivity and reducing energy consumption. Safety Signal features 180° LED lights on the inside control panel to keep dock workers informed of unsafe conditions, while the high-intensity LED light box outside is designed to handle two LEDs per circuit, ensuring visible signals even if one LED fails. The patented light process channels the flashing red light directly into the mirror of the truck, minimizing communication errors with nearby trucks and protecting the signal from direct sunlight interference. The system incorporates a convergent photo eye mounted above the door as a more reliable alternative to outdated whisker switches. Additionally, Safety Signal's energy-efficient interlocks effectively manage the on/off status of equipment, contributing to a greener operation.
