The Mauser IBC container is a 275-gallon UN-approved storage solution featuring a composite metal pallet base that allows for space-saving storage, making it ideal for multi-trip applications. The container is constructed with an FDA hot-dipped galvanized steel cage, which meets food code requirements for non-direct food contact environments. It is designed to safely store both hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Its robust pallet base combines steel and plastic for enhanced durability and structural integrity. Each unit includes an inner storage tank made from HDPE natural plastic, which contains a UV-blocking additive. A 2" butterfly valve with a durable synthetic fluorocarbon rubber gasket is provided, and the top fill cap features a 6" diameter with a 2" bung. The complete unit is UN approved under UN 31HA1/Y. Compliance with Department of Transportation regulations requires that the shipper determine the hazard class, packing group, and suitability of the packaging for transportation, along with the compatibility of materials used in construction, gaskets, coatings, and service equipment. It is essential for shippers to follow the manufacturer's closing instructions when sealing each container. The Mauser USA, LLC drums and IBCs are not intended as pressure vessels or vacuum receptacles, nor are they recommended for long-term storage. They are specifically designed and sold as shipping packaging and containers, and it is recommended that storage time in any shipping container be limited to ensure the safety and integrity of the contents.
