The Powermatic 1800B 18" bandsaw features a robust 5HP motor and operates on 1PH, 230V power, designed specifically for woodworking applications. This bandsaw includes computer-balanced cast iron wheels that minimize vibration and noise, and a micro-adjustable, virtually tool-less bearing guide system that enhances blade control while reducing friction. Key features include the exclusive Powermatic T-square style Accu-Fence for maximizing accuracy and safety, as well as a special grooved thrust bearing that stabilizes smaller blades. The blade tension lever offers full tension, partial tension, and release settings for easy blade changes and tracking. Additionally, it comes equipped with a foot brake with a magnetic switch interrupt for hands-free stopping. The sturdy cast iron table and trunnion assembly provide maximum rigidity for handling large workpieces, while the oversized side plate can be utilized in both horizontal and vertical positions.
