This hydraulic drum crusher/compactor is engineered to crush 55 gallon steel drums to approximately 6"H and features an automatic reset in only 25 seconds. The unit includes a unique capability to compact products within the drum by removing the crushing plate. It is powered by a 6.5 HP motor requiring a 460V 3-phase electrical connection and utilizes a dual-speed hydraulic pump with an 18-gallon oil reservoir, providing 38,000 lbs. of crushing power. Safety features encompass an emergency stop button, a pressure relief valve to prevent overload, and a door interlock system to inhibit compacting when the door is open. This model is designed for intermittent duty operation with a 40% duty cycle. The unit includes a 1-gallon aluminum drip pan (31-1/2"L x 4-1/2"W x 1-5/8"H) to catch drips from the crushing chamber, a drum head piercer for venting, and fork pockets for easy transport via forklift. It meets OSHA and JIC standards and specifications.
