The EZ Evacuation Stair Chair is designed to enhance safety and efficiency during patient transport in emergency evacuations, specifically for moving individuals down stairs. It features a battery-free, pressure-reliant track system that grips and glides on stairways, ensuring a smoother and more controlled descent for the patient while reducing operator strain. The downward speed is easily controlled by the operator through the adjustment of applied pressure. For non-emergency situations requiring ascent with an occupant, the lower lift handles must be utilized to lift the patient completely. Made of durable aluminum, the chair weighs 39 lbs and is capable of safely carrying up to 400 lbs. Its foldable design allows for convenient storage in ambulances, EMS vehicles, fire trucks, or closets, enhancing portability. Key features include an ergonomic seat, foldable push handles, headrest, footrest, padded hand grips, rider safety belts, ankle restraints, auxiliary handles, wheel locks, and a storage cover.
