The EZ Lite evacuation stair chair is engineered to enhance safety and efficiency in emergency patient transport, particularly during evacuations down stairs. It features a battery-free, pressure-reliant tracking system that grips and glides smoothly, allowing for controlled descent and reduced operator strain. The downward speed can be adjusted by varying the pressure applied on the stairs by the operator. For ascending stairs in non-emergency situations, lower lift handles are utilized to completely lift the patient. Constructed from durable aluminum, the chair weighs only 22 lbs yet supports up to 350 lbs. It is foldable, facilitating easy storage in ambulances, EMS vehicles, firetrucks, or closets, thereby enhancing portability. The kit includes an ergonomic seat, foldable push handles, a headrest, footrest, padded hand grips, rider safety belts, ankle restraints, auxiliary handles, wheel locks, and a storage cover. It is important to note that this stairlift is not battery-operated, necessitating two operators for maneuverability when ascending staircases.
