The Edge-of-Dock leveler is designed for easy installation to any loading dock with a steel deck edge and is recommended for docks at least 48" high. Mechanical Edge-of-Dock levelers permanently attach to the face of the dock and provide a service range of 5" above or below the dock. Operation involves placing the actuation handle into the pocket of the inner lip, pulling it down toward the floor, and then pushing the handle forward until the lip rests on the trailer bed; when the trailer departs, the lip automatically drops behind the face of the bumpers. No concrete recess is required for installation. The levelers ship complete with 18"W x 8"D x 2"D bumpers and installation instructions, with a standard ramping length of 29". Note that a steel dock edge, approach ramp, or optional approach plate is required for proper installation.
