The Edge-of-Dock Leveler is designed for easy installation to any loading dock with a steel deck edge and is recommended for docks at least 48" high. These mechanical edge-of-dock levelers permanently attach to the face of the dock and provide a service range of 5" above or below the dock. Operation involves placing the actuation handle into the pocket of the inner lip, pulling it down toward the floor, and then pushing the handle forward until the lip rests on the trailer bed; when the trailer departs, the lip automatically drops behind the face of the bumpers. Concrete recess is not required for installation. Each leveler ships complete with 18"W x 8"D x 2"D bumpers and installation instructions, and the standard ramp length is 29". A steel dock edge, approach ramp, or optional approach plate is necessary for proper installation.
