Constructed using the Meehanite casting process, JET variable speed milling machines provide consistent and reliable operation. The machines feature precision bored and honed milling heads that ensure quality cuts, while the large diameter quill is chromed for enhanced durability. Equipped with high precision class 7 spindle bearings and a chrome plated motor shaft with lower bearing support, the spindle head is internally cooled. The heavy-duty spindle motor drive and the one-piece quill pinion and shaft ensure robust performance. A three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop enhances ease of use, complemented by a heavy-duty spindle brake and locks on all movable surfaces for added safety. The milling machines are designed with precision hardened and ground ways and table, adjustable gibs throughout, and an internal coolant tank built into the casting base for compatibility with a coolant system (coolant pump not included). The package includes a tolerance test sheet, one-shot lubrication system, way covers, draw bar, and a toolbox with tools.
