Constructed using the Meehanite casting process, Jet variable speed milling machines provide consistent and reliable operation. The machines feature precision bored and honed milling heads that ensure quality cuts, complemented by a large diameter quill that is chromed. The high precision class 7 spindle bearings and chrome plated motor shaft with lower bearing support enhance durability, while the spindle head is internally cooled for efficient operation. The three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop makes the machines user-friendly, and they are equipped with a heavy-duty spindle motor drive, a one-piece quill pinion and shaft, and a heavy-duty spindle brake. Additional attributes include locks on all movable surfaces, precision hardened and ground ways and table, adjustable gibs throughout, and an internal coolant tank built into the casting base for use with a coolant system (coolant pump not included). The package includes a tolerance test sheet, a one-shot lubrication system, way covers, a draw bar, and a toolbox with tools. The Jet JTM-4VS series mills are available in single or three-phase power configurations and are backed by a two-year full service and parts warranty.
