Constructed using the Meehanite casting process, Jet variable speed milling machines provide consistent and reliable operation. The Jet JTM-4VS series mills feature precision bored and honed milling heads, a large diameter chromed quill, high precision Class 7 spindle bearings, and a chrome plated motor shaft with lower bearing support. The spindle head is internally cooled, supported by a heavy-duty spindle motor drive, and includes a one-piece quill pinion and shaft. The machines are equipped with a three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop, a heavy-duty spindle brake, and locks on all movable surfaces. Further contributing to their precision, these mills have hardened and ground ways and table, adjustable gibs throughout, and an internal coolant tank built into the casting base for use with a coolant system (coolant pump not included). Other features include a tolerance test sheet, a one-shot lubrication system, way covers, a draw bar, and a toolbox with tools.
