This workhorse medium-capacity model features a powerful 2 HP motor that efficiently handles hundreds of servings in one meal. Like all InSinkErator® foodservice disposers, it is designed for continuous operation in demanding environments such as schools, hospitals, larger restaurants, hotels, cafeterias, and nursing homes, providing superior performance and quiet operation while maximizing energy efficiency and ensuring a long service life. The unit includes a corrosion-resistant stainless steel grind chamber and is mounted with a 3/4" rubber mounting above the grinding chamber to isolate sound and eliminate vibration, with the mounting enclosed in chrome-plated covers for sanitation and aesthetics. The motor operates at 1725 RPM, is totally enclosed to protect against moisture, and features controlled power airflow for efficiency and longevity, along with built-in thermal overload protection. The cutting elements consist of stationary and rotating shredding components made from cast nickel chrome alloy for extended durability and corrosion resistance, designed for reverse action grinding. It also incorporates double-tapered Timken roller bearings for shock absorption, triple lip seals for motor protection against water damage, and a secondary spring-loaded oil seal for extra protection against water intrusion and grease loss. The finish is entirely stainless steel and chrome-plated, ensuring lasting sanitation without paint. This unit is made in the USA and requires hardwiring at 115/208-230V, 1 phase.
