Bel-Art's safety labeled wash bottles are designed to enhance workplace safety by including Department of Transportation (DOT) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and symbols, Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) numbers, protective equipment symbols, and target organ information. The features of these bottles include easy-to-read printed labels, a wide mouth measuring 53 mm (2 inches) for convenient refilling, and a translucent, LDPE construction that is solvent-resistant. The sodium hypochlorite bottle is made of white LDPE to provide light protection between 230 and 450 nm, while the toluene bottle is constructed from red LDPE. Each bottle has a polypropylene closure that ensures a leakproof design and provides compliance with OSHA requirements as outlined in Hazard Communication Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200.
