The flush-mounted fire door kit includes both anchor straps and mounting holes to facilitate installation. It is insulated and rated by Underwriters Laboratories for a 1.5 hour "B" label in walls and can be used in a 2 hour fire-rated wall assembly. Additionally, it is rated for 3 hours in ceilings by Warnock Hersey. The construction features a 16 gauge steel frame and a 20 gauge steel welded pan door, which is filled with 2 inch thick fire-rated insulation. The door is designed with an automatic closure mechanism, is self-latching, and includes an interior latch release for added convenience.
