The flush-mounted unit features both anchor straps and mounting holes to facilitate installation. It is insulated and rated by Underwriters Laboratories for a 1.5-hour "B" label in walls and may be used in a 2-hour fire rated wall assembly. Additionally, it is rated for 3 hours in ceilings by Warnock Hersey. The construction includes a 16-gauge steel frame and a 20-gauge steel welded pan door, which is filled with 2-inch thick fire-rated insulation. The door is equipped with automatic closure, is self-latching, and has an interior latch release.
