The flush mounted kit includes both anchor straps and mounting holes to facilitate installation. It is insulated and rated by Underwriters Laboratories for a 1.5 hour "B" label in walls, and may be used in a 2 hour fire rated wall assembly. Additionally, it is rated for 3 hours in ceilings by Warnock Hersey. The frame is constructed from 16 gauge steel, while the door is made of 20 gauge steel with a welded pan design. The door is filled with 2 inch thick fire rated insulation and features automatic closure, self-latching capabilities, and an interior latch release, ensuring enhanced safety and efficiency in fire-rated applications.
