The product features a flush mounted design equipped with both anchor straps and mounting holes to facilitate installation. It is insulated and rated by Underwriters Laboratories for a 1.5 hour "B" label in walls, making it suitable for use in a 2 hour fire rated wall assembly. Additionally, it holds a rating for 3 hours in ceilings, certified by Warnock Hersey. Constructed with a 16 gauge steel frame and a 20 gauge steel welded pan door, the door is filled with 2 inch thick fire rated insulation. Its design includes automatic closure, a self-latching mechanism, and an interior latch release for added convenience.
