This kit is designed to be installed directly on the water heater hot port and functions as a dual-purpose mixing or diverting valve, providing constant water temperature under different operating conditions. It features a proportional valve for control of hot and cold water and offers flow reduction within seconds if the cold water supply is interrupted. Temperature adjustment is made using a 3/16 in. Allen wrench, which is included, and union coupled tailpiece connections are also provided. The design does not require heat trapping and includes a recirculation connection for fast response along with an integral check valve on the cold water port. Constructed of bronze and stainless materials with Teflon coated wear surfaces to prevent lime deposits, it supports a maximum pressure differential between hot and cold ports of 7 PSI (48 kPa). The product is ASSE 1017 certified, CSA and IAPMO listed, lead-free, and made in the USA.
