The Hoffman CDSC603812 is a Concept™ disc type 12 enclosure with dimensions of 60.00 x 38.00 x 12.00 inches, constructed from gray steel. It is specifically designed for applications requiring stylized design features and a preferred cutout for disconnect switches or circuit breakers, accommodating major brand models. The enclosure includes a Hoffman-integrated tool-to-open handle and comes furnished with enclosures. Key features include a door interlock bracket welded to the door, a door latching system (2-point or 3-point), and instructions for locating and installing the disconnect. The hardware kit features a padlocking door handle, panel mounting nuts, grounding hardware, and sealing washers for mounting holes. The enclosure is made from either 16 or 14 gauge steel, with continuously welded seams that are ground smooth and an external-formed 90-degree body flange. Additional features include bonding provisions on the door, a grounding stud on the body, and holes for mounting the disconnect's operating handle and mechanism. The panel mounting studs are compatible with optional Concept panels and other accessories, while the back of the body has mounting holes for direct or optional external bracket mounting. Hidden hinges provide a clean, aesthetic appearance, and the doors are removable with a provision for an optional high-impact thermoplastic data pocket. A seamless foam-in-place gasket ensures a tight seal, and the door alignment device is featured on doors wider than 30 inches. The latching system interlocks with the disconnect handle for added safety, complemented by an integrated door handle that offers a tool-to-open feature and a padlocking option. The enclosure includes a self-grounding latch system with a double seal, four hinges on 60-inch-high doors, and simple, easy-to-remove hinge pins with a built-in captivation clip, as well as high-torque threadless studs and fasteners on the door.
