The Hoffman A86M3E20 is a free-standing, three-door enclosure designed for housing larger control systems in industrial environments, measuring 86.12 x 112.00 x 20.12 inches and constructed from steel with a painted finish. The enclosure features .121-inch steel seams that are continuously welded and ground smooth, eliminating holes or knockouts. Heavy steel back stiffeners maintain flatness and increase rigidity, while heavy-duty lifting eyes are anchored into a reinforced top. Overlapping, gasketed openings on the two-door centerposts eliminate the need for centerposts, and gasketed overlapping doors enhance accessibility at two-door openings. It includes three-point latches operated by a padlocking handle, latch rod rollers for easy door closing, and concealed, easy-to-remove hinges. A mechanical interlock is standard on each enclosure, with the right-hand door serving as the master door, allowing for doors to be closed in any order. Additional features include panel supports, a large data pocket made of high-impact thermoplastic, an oil-resistant door gasket, and panel mounting studs. The enclosure can be configured with panels included or with panels purchased separately, and bonding provisions on doors, as well as provisions for mounting fluorescent lights, are also available.
