The Idem 202005 KLM Guard Locking Switch (standard release), 110V, 1/2NPT, die cast is designed to offer robust position interlock detection for moving guards and provide a lock mechanism to keep the guard closed until the hazard is removed. These tongue-operated switches fit to the leading edge of sliding or hinged machine guards to provide positively operated switching contacts and a tamper-resistant key mechanism. They can be used independently for positively operated contacts to EN60947-5-1 or in combination with dual-channel safety monitoring relays for up to PLE Category 4 to ISO13849-1 or SIL3 EN62061. Available in various materials and housing styles, with options for contact blocks, LED diagnostics, and various actuators, these switches are suitable for factory automation, packaging, food processing, pharmaceutical, and petrochemical industries. The switch features 8 actuator entry positions with a rotatable head, 2 lock monitoring safety contacts, high holding force of 2000N, LED status indicators, 2 emergency manual release points, IP67 rating, and dimensions of 46mm wide, 176mm long, and 30mm fixing.
