The Bosch® BL2631 aircraft drill bits feature an extra length design with a diameter of 1/16" and a length of 6". These drill bits utilize a speed helix design that allows for three times faster drilling compared to standard bits, while also lasting 50% longer than high-speed steel. The design enables easier drilling, reduces heat, and extends the overall life of the drill bit. They are available in various lengths including jobber length, stubby length, and extended length (aircraft), along with a 1/2 in. reduced shank (Silver and Deming). The Bosch® BL2631 drill bits are suitable for use in a wide range of materials, including steel, copper, aluminum, brass, oak, maple, MDF, pine, PVC, polycarbonate, acrylic, ABS, nylon, and composite materials.
