The General Pipe Cleaners GL-100 Gen-Eye Hot-Spot™ Pipe Locator is a highly advanced tool designed for efficient pipe locating. It features easy-to-read display icons that guide users to their target, with an auto backlight for visibility in dimly lit areas. The locator comes equipped with a total field antenna array, allowing for location detection from any direction, and a line direction compass that indicates the lay of the pipe. Built to withstand harsh conditions, it boasts the industry's most rugged design with an IP65 rating, having passed a 1-meter drop test as well as an 18-inch steel ball drop test. Its superior battery life lasts approximately 30 hours, more than twice as long as competitors, and includes an automatic shutdown feature to conserve power. The locator supports expanded frequencies, enabling detection of two sonde frequencies, two power frequencies, and four line frequencies when used with an external transmitter. Software is upgradeable via a USB port, allowing for field updates or screen captures, and it features a simple, menu-based user interface that eliminates the need for multiple screens.
