Oatey 30771 Purple Primer is an industrial grade 32 oz. very aggressive purple-tinted primer designed for use on PVC and CPVC pipe and fittings. This Lo-V.O.C. solvent cement complies with California South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) 1168/316A and BAAQMD method 40, as well as various environmental requirements. It is recommended for commercial and large diameter thermoplastic piping systems, specifically CPVC Schedule 40/80, and is ideal for cold weather applications. The primer effectively removes surface dirt, grease, and grime, while also softening the pipe surface to facilitate a fast and secure solvent weld. It is suitable for use in areas where plumbing code requires verification that a primer has been utilized. This product is N SF and IAPMO listed and meets ASTM F656 standards.
