The Oatey 31261 Great Blue Pipe Joint Compound is a 4 oz. flexible, non-hardening, non-separating, and non-toxic paste that is easy to clean up and has no odor. It is suitable for use on a variety of materials including PVC, CPVC, ABS, polyethylene, polypropylene, iron, steel, copper, or brass threads up to and including 2 inches. This compound can withstand pressures up to 3,000 psi on gases within the temperature range of -50° to +400° F and up to 10,000 psi on liquids from -50° to +500° F. It effectively lubricates and seals threads on applications involving water, natural gas, steam, air lines, caustics, and dilute acids.
