The Hoffman A1614CHNFSS J Box is a continuous hinge enclosure designed for housing systems that incorporate large components or complex mounting configurations. It features a Type 4X rating and is constructed from 12 gauge Type 304 stainless steel, measuring 16.00 x 14.00 x 6.00 inches. This enclosure includes three-point latching and sealing for superior protection from dust, dirt, oil, and water, making it suitable for machine tool applications that house motor starters, drives, contactors, and PLCs, as well as a variety of other electrical and electronic equipment. It provides rugged protection for sensitive rack-mounted components with optional 19-inch rack-mounting accessories in harsh industrial environments. The design includes continuously welded and ground smooth seams with no holes or knockouts, heavy-duty lifting eyes made from Type 316L stainless steel, and a heavy-duty three-point latching mechanism operated by a Type 316L stainless steel Powerglide™ padlocking handle. It comes with a seamless foam-in-place gasket for a water-tight and dust-tight seal, while the body flange trough collar helps exclude liquids and contaminants. Latch rods equipped with rollers facilitate easier door closing, and heavy-gauge continuous hinges support each door. Additionally, each enclosure is provided with a high-impact thermoplastic data pocket, and mounting channels are welded horizontally to the interior body sides at the top, bottom, and center. There are four styles available for maximum flexibility: one-door single-access, one-door dual-access, two-door single-access, and two-door dual-access enclosures.
