The Hoffman A24H1608SS6LP is a continuous hinge free-standing enclosure made from 12 gauge type 304 stainless steel, with dimensions of 24.00 x 16.00 x 8.00 in, designed for type 4X applications. This enclosure is specifically engineered for mounting electrical or high-tech electronic equipment in various indoor and outdoor settings, particularly in sanitary washdown production environments such as food, beverage, or pharmaceutical processing. Key features include continuously welded and ground smooth seams, smooth type 304 stainless steel lift-off bullet-style hinges shielded by cover edges, and provisions on the hinged side of the cover that allow direct flushing of the hinge area. The enclosure has a 20-degree sloped top to facilitate runoff of water and cleaning solutions while prohibiting the placement of objects on top. Additionally, it offers a 170-degree door opening with sloped edges to aid in runoff, and a slanted flange trough collar to prevent fluid pooling. The three-point latching system is operated by Powerglide® type 316L padlocking stainless steel handles. It includes a seamless foam-in-place one-piece gasket for an oil-tight and dust-tight seal, bonding provisions on doors, grounding studs on the body, and an accessory mounting channel in the enclosure top. There are also panel studs for optional NEMA style panels and mounting holes in the bottom for direct mounting or optional sanitary legs and stainless steel floor stands. A hardware kit consisting of panel mounting nuts, grounding hardware, and hole seals for mounting holes is also provided.
