The Hoffman Watershed™ stainless steel free-stand enclosure is designed with a Type 4X rating, making it suitable for mounting electrical or high-tech electronic equipment in various indoor and outdoor settings, particularly in sanitary washdown production environments such as food, beverage, and pharmaceutical processing. Manufactured from 12 gauge Type 304 stainless steel, it features continuously welded and ground smooth seams, smooth Type 304 stainless steel lift-off bullet-style hinges that are shielded by cover edges, and a hinged side cover designed for direct flushing of the hinge area. The enclosure has a 20-degree sloped top to facilitate runoff of water and cleaning solutions while preventing the placement of objects on top. It allows for a 170-degree door opening with sloped edges to aid runoff, a slanted flange trough collar to prevent fluid pooling, and a three-point latching system operated by PowerGlide® type 316L padlocking stainless steel handles. Additionally, a seamless foam-in-place one-piece gasket provides an oil-tight and dust-tight seal against contaminants, with bonding provisions on the doors and grounding studs on the body. The enclosure includes an accessory mounting channel at the top, panel studs that accommodate optional NEMA style panels, and mounting holes at the bottom for direct mounting or the addition of optional sanitary legs and stainless steel floor stands. The furnished hardware kit includes panel mounting nuts, grounding hardware, and hole seals for the mounting holes.
