The kit includes a stove board/hearth extender, which is suitable for use under kerosene, gas, and electric heaters, and serves to protect your floor in front of your fireplace. C US listed stove boards can also be used as a wall shield to protect your walls from heat, while non-UL stove boards may not be used for this purpose. The product has been tested to UL1618 Type 2. It comes with a 90-day warranty for manufacturing defects, which excludes all painted finishes (i.e., color variations, fading, scratches, or discoloration) as well as minor dents or imperfections. This warranty applies only to products that are installed properly and used in accordance with the intended use.
