Tripp Lite's HDMI over Dual Cat5 Extender Wallplate Kit provides an efficient solution for extending an HDMI signal over two Cat5/6 cables over long distances. It includes both local transmitter and remote receiver wallplates, allowing for easy installation by simply running two Cat5/6 cables between them and connecting standard Tripp Lite HDMI cables to the HDMI source and display. With 24AWG, solid wire Cat6 cable, a 1080p (24Hz) or 1080i (60Hz) signal can be extended up to 150 ft., and a 3D signal can reach up to 100 ft. Using 24AWG, solid wire Cat5 cable allows for a 1080p (24Hz) or 1080i (60Hz) signal to be extended up to 100 ft., while a 3D signal extends up to 50 ft. The kit includes a green LED on the remote receiver wallplate to indicate power from the source and monitor; if the red LED is illuminated, it denotes an issue with the signal. The extender supports DTS-HD, Dolby True HD, and 7.1 channel surround sound audio, and is compliant with HDCP, EDID, and DDC standards. It supports 24-bit true color (8-bits per channel) and requires no external power for operation.
