The Electro Kinetic Technologies Pony Express motorized mail room cart is designed to eliminate employee injuries caused by excessive push/pull forces found in manual carts. This cart boasts a payload capacity of 1,500 pounds on the lower deck and includes (2) baskets made of solid steel welded rods, each capable of holding up to 100 hanging letter or legal size folders. It features a heavy-duty powder-coated white tubular steel welded frame, deep cycle AGM rechargeable batteries, and an onboard UL, CUL listed 120/240 VAC battery charger. The cart is equipped with foam-filled, never-flat drive tires, solid-state regenerative braking, and a holding brake to maintain position on inclines. Additionally, it has a non-skid platform surface and curved platform corners with full wrap-around vinyl bumpers for protection. The basket dimensions are 20"L x 17 1/2"W x 10"H. The ergonomic handle control design allows for variable speed forward and reverse control ranging from 0 to 3 miles per hour in fast mode or 0 to 1.5 miles per hour in slow mode. Safety features include a keyed power on/off switch that can be removed for security, a color battery charge level indicator, an emergency stop button, and a horn.
