The Protekt™ Serenity Gel Overlay measures 34" x 78" x 3" and is designed for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers. It features a convoluted high-density polyurethane foam top layer, while the bladders contain an aqueous gel composition that offers deep submersion support. The base foundation is constructed from high-density, high-resilient foam to prevent "bottoming out." The cover is made of a soft nylon urethane-coated, vapor-permeable waterproof fabric, and the top cover is non-shear, low-friction, and treated to be anti-microbial/bacterial. The overlay is secured to the mattress using four elastic corner straps, and the gel maintains room temperature at all times. Bariatric sizes are also available. The product complies with 16 CFR Part 1632 & 1633, has a weight capacity of 300 lbs, and comes with a one-year non-prorated warranty.
