When weight is removed from the sensor pad, an alarm sounds to alert the caregiver, and it automatically resets when the patient returns to the safe position, minimizing false alarms. The bed pads are made of soft, comfortable vinyl, are moisture resistant, and easy to clean. The kit includes a durable heavy-duty nylon belt that sounds an alarm when the buckle is disengaged, while the seat belt is designed not to be a restraint, allowing caregivers or residents to disengage the alarm with one hand by pressing the large buckle. The large red button is easy to locate and operate with one finger, and metal grommets on the ends of the belt provide a customized fit for secure installation.
