Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, Jet variable speed milling machines provide consistent and reliable operation. They feature precision bored and honed milling heads that ensure quality cuts, along with a three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop for ease of use. Available in single or three-phase power configurations, the Jet JTM-4VS series mills include Meehanite castings, a large diameter chromed quill, high precision class 7 spindle bearings, and a chrome-plated motor shaft with lower bearing support. Additionally, the spindle head is internally cooled, and the machine features a heavy-duty splined motor drive, one-piece quill pinion and shaft, heavy-duty spindle brake, and locks on all movable surfaces. Precision hardened and ground ways and table, adjustable gibs throughout, and an internal coolant tank built into the casting base provide further utility, although the coolant pump is not included. The kit includes a tolerance test sheet, a one-shot lubrication system, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox with tools.
