Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, JET variable speed milling machines provide consistent and reliable operation. The kit includes Meehanite castings, precision bored and honed milling heads, large diameter quill that is chromed, high precision class 7 spindle bearings, a chrome plated motor shaft with lower bearing support, and an internally cooled spindle head. Additionally, it features a heavy-duty splined motor drive, one piece quill pinion and shaft, three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop, a heavy-duty spindle brake, and locks on all movable surfaces. The precision hardened and ground ways and table, adjustable gibs throughout, and an internal coolant tank built into the casting base (coolant pump not included) enhance its capabilities. The milling machine also comes with a tolerance test sheet, a one-shot lubrication system, way covers, a draw bar, and a toolbox with tools. The JET JTM-4VS series mills are available in single or three-phase power configurations and are backed by a two-year full service and parts warranty.
