The Jet JTM-1050 features Meehanite® castings and a heavy-duty hardened and ground 10" x 50" table, providing a robust workstation for milling operations. It is equipped with chrome lead screws on the X and Y axes and Turcite B for enhanced performance. The satin chrome finish on dials ensures precise adjustments, while precision bored and honed milling heads guarantee quality cuts. The large diameter quill is chromed and supported by high precision Class 7 spindle bearings, with an internally cooled spindle head designed for durability. The milling machine utilizes no fuse breaker power connections and includes a heavy-duty motor drive with a chrome-plated motor shaft. The one-piece quill pinion and shaft, along with a three-stage power downfeed featuring an automatic stop, enhance usability. Additional features include a heavy-duty spindle brake, locks on all movable surfaces, hardened and ground square vertical knee ways and cross ways, adjustable gibs throughout, and an internal coolant tank built into the base for cooling system use (coolant pump not included).
