The JET JTM-1050 milling machine features Meehanite® castings and a heavy-duty hardened and ground table measuring 10" x 50". It is equipped with high precision Class 7 precision bearings that support the spindle, along with precision bored and honed milling heads that ensure high-quality cuts. The machine includes a three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop for ease of operation. Key attributes consist of hardened and ground chrome lead screws on the X and Y axes, Turcite B on the X and Y axes, and a satin chrome finish on dials. The large diameter quill, which is chromed, and the high precision Class 7 spindle bearing further enhance its performance. The spindle head is internally cooled and features a no fuse breaker power connection, supported by a heavy-duty motor drive and chrome plated motor shaft with bearing support at the end. The machine includes a one-piece quill pinion and shaft, heavy duty spindle brake, locks on all movable surfaces, hardened and ground square vertical knee ways and cross ways with adjustable gibs throughout. An internal coolant tank is built into the base for use with a coolant system (coolant pump not included), a tolerance test sheet is provided, and it is equipped with a one-shot lubrication system, way covers, a draw bar, and a toolbox with tools.
