Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, Jet variable speed milling machines provide consistent and reliable operation with features designed for precision and ease of use. The machines include precision bored and honed milling heads that ensure quality cuts, a large diameter quill that is chromed, high precision class 7 spindle bearings, and a chrome plated motor shaft with lower bearing support. The spindle head is internally cooled, and the heavy-duty splined motor drive contributes to its robust performance. The design features a one-piece quill pinion and shaft, a three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop, and a heavy-duty spindle brake. Additionally, locks are present on all movable surfaces, precision hardened and ground ways and table ensure durability, and adjustable gibs throughout allow for fine-tuning. The internal coolant tank is built into the casting base for use with a coolant system (coolant pump not included), and a tolerance test sheet is included. Other components such as a one-shot lubrication system, way covers, draw bar, and a toolbox with tools further enhance the milling machines' functionality. The Jet JTM-4VS series mills are available in single or three-phase power configurations and are backed by a two-year full service and parts warranty.
