The FR hard hat pad with shade is designed to provide ultimate cooling relief while offering FR protection. This pad features a long shade that protects the neck from harmful UV rays and is constructed from a modacrylic cotton blend FR fabric. The fabric meets ASTM F1506 performance requirements with an arc thermal performance value (ATPV) rating of 7.1 cal/cm² and is classified as category 1 per NFPA 70E. Additionally, it complies with ASTM F2302 for flame resistance. To activate the cooling properties, the pad should be soaked in water for 2-5 minutes, allowing it to remain hydrated for up to 4 hours. The pad conveniently attaches to the hard hat suspension headband and is reusable, requiring only a reseak after use.
