Red brass fittings are designed for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). These fittings have pressure ratings of 125 PSI for steam and 200 PSI for W.O.G., conforming to ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. They provide superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, and the relative softness of the material facilitates easy installation and ensures a tight seal. Primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, red brass fittings are also applicable in oil, gas, and steam environments.
