Red brass fittings can be utilized in low pressure applications for water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). Fittings have pressure ratings of 125 PSI for steam and 200 PSI for W.O.G., and they meet ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. These fittings offer superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, and the material's relative softness allows for easy installation and a tight seal. Brass fittings are primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, but are also applicable in oil, gas, and steam applications.
