Red brass fittings are designed for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). With pressure ratings of 125 PSI for steam and 200 PSI for W.O.G., these fittings conform to ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. They provide superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, while the material's relative softness facilitates easy installation and ensures a tight seal. Primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, red brass fittings are also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
