Brass nipples are produced from seamless red brass pipe, specifically alloy 230, offering ease of machining, reduced brittleness, and enhanced resistance to corrosion compared to yellow brass, which is prone to dezincification. The material provides excellent corrosion resistance from water and heat and withstands exposure to saltwater, acids, minerals, and peaty soils in water. Primarily utilized in commercial plumbing and OEM applications for water, brass nipples are also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
