Red brass fittings are designed for low-pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). They feature pressure ratings of 125 psi for steam and 200 psi for W.O.G., conforming to ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. These fittings provide superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, while the relative softness of the material facilitates easy installation and ensures a tight seal. Primarily used in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, red brass fittings are also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
