Brass nipples are manufactured from seamless red brass pipe, specifically alloy 230, which provides enhanced machinability, reduced brittleness, and superior resistance to corrosion compared to yellow brass, thus eliminating the risk of dezincification. The brass material exhibits excellent corrosion resistance against water, heat, salt water, and various acids, as well as minerals and peaty soils found in water. This makes brass nipples ideal for commercial plumbing and OEM applications, while also being suitable for use in oil, gas, and steam systems.
