Red brass fittings are designed for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). These fittings have pressure ratings of 125 PSI for steam and 200 PSI for W.O.G., complying with ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. They provide superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, and their relative softness facilitates easy installation and ensures a tight seal. Primarily utilized for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, red brass fittings are also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
